Technical training

TOOL MECHANIC (M/F/D)

What does this actually entail?
Your tasks

As a tool mechanic (m/f/d), you make tools, moulds and fixtures from metal. You obtain information that is necessary for production, read drawings, plan the corresponding work steps and select suitable materials. You rotate and mill individual parts, usually on CNC machines, programme these machines, service them and supervise the entire production. You also assemble individual parts and check the complete tools for their functionality.

Your training

At JUNGHANS, you are trained in the in-house tool-making of experienced specialists through familiarisation with technologies, such as wire cutting, sink erosion, 5-axle milling, etc. You will get to know all the practical and theoretical aspects of tool mechanics through alternating studies with the vocational school. We offer you comprehensive training with insights into various industries, as our tool and mould manufacturing not only ensures the precision and availability of the tools and moulds required for fuze production, but also develops and finishes high-quality precision tools and injection moulds for external customers from the fields of medical and dental as well as automotive technology.

Your tasks

As an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), you manufacture components and assemblies for machines, devices and production systems, install them or refit them. You supervise and optimise manufacturing processes and take on repair and maintenance tasks. Programming CNC machines and reading drawings are just as much part of your job as using and setting up pneumatic controls.

MECHATRONICS ENGINEER (M/F/D)

What does this actually entail?
Your tasks

As a mechatronics engineer (m/f/d), you build complex mechatronics systems from mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and components, for example, robots for industrial production. You check the individual components and assemble them on systems and equipment, and put the finished systems into operation, programme them and install the associated software. In doing so, you follow circuit diagrams and design drawings and carefully check the systems before releasing them for production. In addition, you maintain and repair mechatronics systems

Your tasks

As a mechanical engineer, you are so familiar with mathematics, mechanics, strength and thermodynamics that you can design parts or moulds with optimum properties for the respective application. Your work includes the planning, design, interpretation, construction and documentation of products that you bring into line with your expertise in measurement technology or control technology with the overall systems.
